Catholic Grandparents Association Annual National Grandparents Pilgrimage September 9th 2018, Knock Shrine 2.30pm. The annual church gate collection for North West Simon Community takes places next weekend 1st & 2nd Sept at Ballinaglera – please support your local homeless charity. www.northwestsimon.ie

 

We are hosting our annual Ecumenical service which will take place on the 8th of October which is the beginning of World Mental Health Week. The event will take place in the Glens Centre Manorhamilton at 8pm.  We will have speakers from different organisations and religions on the night.

 

Blacklion / Glangevlin / Dowra community alert group will have the use of a property marking from Monday the 3rd of September to Sunday the 10th of September. It will be available in the following areas.

Blacklion – Monday the 3rd carpark beside the McNeon resource center 6pm to 9pm.

Gowlan – Tuesday the 4th beside Gowlan church 6pm to 9pm.

Dowra – Wednesday the 5th carpark beside resource center 6pm to 9pm.

Glangevlin – Thursday the 6th carpark beside Glangevlin hall 6pm to 9pm.

A farm visit can be arranged for those who have a lot of property to be marked. This will cost extra. Call 0872499582.

You will need your Eircode. Please note the machine cannot be used on glass.

The Irish Water Safety lessons have been very successful this summer. Thank you to all the parents who brought their children every day to the lessons. Learning to swim, especially in open water, is very important nowadays and it is great that the young people are continuing to improve their water skills. Thank you to the

excellent instructors, Liza Fitzpatrick, Fergal Gilmartin and Leah McNabola for their hard work. Thank you to John McGourty for the use of his facilities at Cleighran Mor. Kathleen Gilmartin Irish Water Safety organiser.

Festival: Thanks to everyone who supported our recent festival. Thank you to all our sponsors and to chairman Frankie Reynolds and the committee. Well done on a fantastic week.

Summer draw  Thank you to Colm Maguire for co ordinating it and to everyone who bought and sold tickets. Your support is much appreciated.

Club meeting: Wednesday 29th at 9.30pm sharp in the community centre.

Championship: Good luck to the intermediate team against Drumkeerin Sat at 5pm in Drumshanbo.

Ladies: Well done to St Francis team who bet Bornacoola/St Mary’s 0.14 to 1.4. They are through to the semi finals.
